Every McNugget fanatic knows that eating McNuggets without curry sauce is sacrilegious. When Singaporeans discovered that their favourite condiment had run out in all the local restaurants, confusion and turmoil broke out in the streets of Singapore. Fans of the curry sauce immediately flocked to social media — especially McDonald’s Facebook page — to express their discontent and lament its absence.
But to the curry sauce lovers, it’s time to rejoice! After an excruciatingly long 4-month absence, McDonald’s curry sauce is finally sailing its way back to Singapore shores and will be back in restaurants today. The popular chicken nugget dip has been unavailable since February due to congestion at the U.S. West Coast ports. According to The Straits Times, a spokesman from McDonald’s thanked customers for their patience and confirmed the return of their beloved curry dip come Jun 18.
The curry dip is uniquely Singapore and it’s what sets local McNugget eaters apart from the rest of the world. Perhaps it’s time to stock up on the curry dip before the next curry-pocalypse strikes again.
