In Singapore, we’re all well-acquainted with Hainanese chicken rice and laksa — just ask any local on the street and they’ll probably point you in five different directions to find the best versions of these creations.
We’ve already got ’em in cookie form (thanks to homegrown bakery chain PrimaDéli), but new local brand F.EAST has just one-upped the game by producing potato chips in the familiar flavors of chicken rice and laksa. Launching next Monday, the $3 per pack snacks will be available at a Christmas Fair booth in Raffles Place, as well as on e-tailer Redmart.
For those who’ve just decided to abandon their pre-festive season diet, the chips will be on a $10 for four packets promotion till Dec 1.
If you find yourself addicted to the locally-inspired potato chips, keep an eye out for more Asian flavors by the brand in the future.
