Chu Tang, a tea brand originating from the city of Taichung, has recently opened a grab-and-go kiosk at Duo Galleria.

If you’ve been reminiscing about your last trip to Taiwan, when you gulped down milk tea by the liter and ate your way through night markets, double fisting Taiwanese street foods the whole way through — well, you’re not going to get that. Our Chu Tang is located in the basement of a commercial building, at the foot of a bunch of office towers.

But the place does specialize in Taiwanese milk tea, comes to us straight from Taiwan, and is already receiving a fair amount of love from our locals. And instead of regular bubble tea cups, the tea here comes packaged in easy-to-carry, sealed bags.

The blend of milk with Earl Grey and Ceylon tea goes for $4.90, which yes, is noticeably more expensive than the milk teas from other brands in town.

If you pop by the stall on weekday afternoons, you’ll most likely bump into office workers from the area out for a quick lunch. Seating here is very limited, so it looks like most patrons get their orders to go.

Besides their signature drink, Chu Tang’s also got food to pad your stomach with, including the likes of a BBQ pork Cuban sandwich ($7.90), pari pari chicken wrap ($7.90), and braised pork bento box ($7.90). Pretty good stuff for a fuss-free lunch.
