The newest tenant at Cathay Cineleisure Orchard grills up classic burgers with a Japanese twist, giving you one more dining option amidst the flurry of eateries in the Orchard area. Decked out in palm tree murals, street style elements, and ’80s band paraphernalia, the neon-lit space at the teen hangout mall is home to B Burger.
A concept created by the same people behind menswear brand Benjamin Barker, the fast-casual joint serves up pretty affordable burgers, all within the price range of $6.90 to $11.90.

From buttermilk fried chicken burgers with sriracha honey to truffle mayo and sautéed mushrooms topped with beef patties, B Burger shies away from standard offerings with its creative options.
Take the Umami ($7.90) burger, for example — the buns sandwich buttermilk fried portobello, melted cheddar and a sprinkle of nori flakes. Or the curry cheeseburger ($8.90), which combines Japanese curry with good ol’ cheeseburger.
Of course, for those who can’t handle non-traditional items on their sacred burgers, there’s also the signature B Burger ($6.90-$11.90), with daikon pickles, caramelized onions, and some secret sauce.

If you’re not in the mood for a patty-and-bun combination, try the Osaka Corn Dog ($6.90) for an okonomiyaki-inspired creation with bratwurst, ebiko, nori, and teriyaki sauce.
As for the sides, you’ll get to choose between the nacho soup ($3.50) — it’s basically nachos floating in a bowl of gooey cheese — curry cheese fries ($5), or chicken wings slathered in sriracha mayo ($7.90).
To add more calories in your meal, order the chocolate banana, matcha, s’mores, or cookies and cream milkshakes ($6.90), or go for the frozen custard desserts ($6-$8) in flavors like Nutella with speculoos, white chocolate with lavender, or matcha with coconut flakes.
B Burger is at #01-01 Cathay Cineleisure Orchard, 8 Grange Rd. Daily noon-10pm.
