Ever been caught in a dilemma of not knowing which drinks you should sip on when you’re in the mood to advocate for gender equality? Well, ladies, gents, and non-binary friends, we’ve got something for you.
Pandemic-born cocktail brand GudSht and women’s rights advocacy group AWARE have teamed up to launch two exclusive equality-themed cocktails today on the former’s online store until Dec. 4.
Gin-der Equality is a sweeter and mellower drink that is said to embody love. It is made of rosehip hibiscus tea, Sipsmith Sloe gin, honey, raspberry jam, and grapefruit bitters with an alcohol content of 6.0 percent.
Misogyny B Gone, on the other hand, packs a spicy punch embodying a win from a good fight. It is made with Bacardi Carta Blanca, Banana Liqueur, Dom Benedictine, earl grey tea and infused with strips of chili with an alcohol content of 10 percent.
The drinks mirror the theme of AWAREFest, the rights group’s upcoming online festival in celebration of 35 years of advocating for women’s rights. It features workshops, panel discussions, and interactive programs that will take place from Nov. 25-29.
Both cocktails are each priced $28 for 300ml and $45 for 600ml. Exclusive bundle sets are also available.
The cocktail brand is known for its comically named concoctions such as nutty caramelized drink Deez Nuts, sangria Red Sangrila Utama, and yuzu drink Unicorn Barf.
“We may take a whimsical, light-hearted approach to our creations, but serious issues deserve serious attention, and we hope our collaboration can help raise awareness for issues that matter to women in Singapore,” co-founder of GudSht Denver Low said in a statement released today.
