A new local drinking app wants you to clink glasses every day. And why would you do that? Because Chug offers its members one complimentary alcoholic drink daily for $14.90 a month. That means you pay the price of one drink to get approximately 30 free ones at a variety of watering holes, including cocktail bars, chillax lounges and sports bars. You can choose to either go bar-hopping or stick to your favourite hangout every day.
Sure sounds like a pretty solid (albeit slightly gimmicky) deal for Singapore, where a night out can cost you an arm and a leg if you’re not careful. But we’d suggest you check out the list of partnering bars before you sign up — if you’re the type who prefers something familiar when it comes to alcoholic beverages (i.e. you can’t not order a margarita every single time even though you know there’s more to life), you may not appreciate the range of drinks here.
The app lists the locations of venues — which include names like Fresh!, Mr Punch Public House, Mischief, Club Meatballs and Skinny’s Lounge — and describes each cocktail so you know what you’re getting yourself into.
Looks like cheers don’t have to be reserved to the freakin’ weekend anymore.
