Local cheesecake chain Cat & the Fiddle now has a place for fans to sit down and enjoy its signature cakes, coffees and new sweet treats in Woodlands.

The homegrown brand’s first cafe is located on the first level of the Woods Square mall by the Woodlands train station. Other than cheesecakes, the outlet also serves coffee by the Tad Coffee Co. as well as homemade waffles and cheesy soft serve.

The ice cream comes in five flavors including chocolate, red velvet, and cookies, and served in a regular or waffle cone.

The brand was founded by Singaporean pastry chef Daniel Tay, who owned the now-defunct Bakerzin patisserie chain. Cat & the Fiddle’s bestselling cheesecakes include the Milo Dinosaur, named for the popular chocolate malt flavor; and Gula Me Gusta, which is inspired by ondeh-ondeh glutinous rice balls filled with palm sugar.

Until now, the company’s products have been available only at five retail outlets in places like The Central at Clarke Quay and Westgate in Jurong East.
