Who cares about durian breath when you can pig out on a feast featuring the King of Fruits? Thanks to the good folks at Goodwood Park Hotel, the annual Durian Fiesta returns from Mar 4 to Jul 17, starring the spiky fruit in all kinds of delightful shapes and forms.
Sink your teeth into seven new dessert creations, including the durian black sea salt caramel cake and durian kueh lapis, as well as crowd favourites like durian puffs and durian rainbow ice cream cakes, all available at the hotel’s deli. Oh, and don’t forget to pop by the Mini D24 Durian Ice Cream Bar, where you’ll get to sample bite-sized popsicles in six flavours.
To try a variety of pastries, get the Durian Combo, which is available till Mar 31. For $38.80, you’ll get a sample slice of treats like D24 durian mousse cake and durian crunchy chocolate-hazelnut tartlet. But true diehard fans will want to go all out at the Coffee Lounge’s Dessert Buffet (May 28 to Jul 17), where you can stuff your face with durian coffee éclairs, durian pancakes and more over lunch or dinner.
