Bar/lounge Le Noir debuts new Marina Bay Sands outpost with a grand opening party tonight

Opening its third branch after one in nightlife hotspot Clarke Quay and another in KL’s entertainment district Trec, Le Noir is bringing the party to Marina Bay Sands, with a river-facing, marble-and-gold space that offers indoor and alfresco seatings.

If you’re not too bothered about the nightly water show at MBS, perhaps you’d be persuaded to spend an evening at the bar/lounge for its live music and chill vibes. Likely to be more classy than its Clarke Quay sister, which has seen its fair share of drunkards stroll past from nearby clubs, this new spot is quieter and more relaxed, with an added bonus of waterfront views.

Bar bites and drinks here have been elevated as well (probably prices, too), with an all-day dining selection of crab cakes, salmon ceviche, steak tartare, pizzas, and cakes. Even if you’re not swinging by for the night-time entertainment of live music, you can get brunch grub like acai bowls and smashed avocado toasts from 11am. On the drinks side, it’s your usual array of wines, champagnes, and cocktails, including the signature tom yum martini that comes in three levels of spiciness.

When it’s almost time for the sun to set, bands will take the stage to the tune of jazz, pop covers, and acoustic sets starting from 6:15pm till midnight on weekdays and 2am on weekends. Names making an appearance on the line-up include Deborah & Friends, The Jukuleles, Nino Elmo, Bang On The Run, and Jack & Rai.

If you haven’t filled your calendar for tonight, Le Noir’s got its grand opening party going on from 5pm till late, with magic performances, live bands all night, and entertainment in the form of “roving LED men.”
