Somewhat of a local legend on the island of Bali, this is the place where you can get the best pork ribs in town and kick back with a few dirty martinis to celebrate the victorious meal. The wildly successful Naughty Nuri’s have since expanded their brand beyond sleepy Ubud with franchises in Malaysia, Macau, and now Singapore come January 2016.
While you’re more accustomed to find a Naughty Nuri’s nestled by a road and emanating delicious-smelling smoke from all that grilling, it has found a more upmarket home in Singapore’s Capitol Piazza. Opened by lifestyle group Massive Collective — who owns other upscale nightspots and restaurants — one thing’s for sure about Naughty Nuri’s in Singapore: this ain’t no alfresco joint where you can rock up after a night out on town for a chill, hearty supper.
According to Philip Poon, a director of lifestyle group Massive Collective, the menu in Singapore will be more “refined and sophisticated” in terms of the quality of ingredients and the plating of food. Be ready to spend at least $40 to $60 for a meal. Damn, that’s more than twice you’re paying in Bali. But I guess if you want the very best, then you better pay up.
