Durian coffee? Oh yeah, you bet it’s a thing. But the folks at Bakerzin, in typical Singaporean style, wanted to stake their claim on a “first in Singapore” title, so here’s the country’s first durian cold drip coffee.

Launching on Dec 17 at the brand’s United Square outlet, it’s basically java blended with a dollop of durian flesh to get that thick, rich result, otherwise known as an artery-exploding drink.

But if you’re unwilling to part with $12 for this, there’s also the $10 regular cold drip coffee made from arabica and premium robusta beans, which you can have with a side of durian mochi dessert ($10.80, launches Dec 17 at selected outlets).

While we’re on the topic of hearty heavyweights for the festive season, Bakerzin is also debuting massive 4kg burgers this Christmas. Available in three options — foie gras chicken ($80), wagyu beef ($88), and a double combo of both ($98) — the hulking “burgernator” creations, which come with nuggets, fried calamari, waffle fries, and iced lemon teas, are good for a table of four. Or one very hungry eater.

The bakery chain isn’t exactly known for its burgers, but if you’re on binge mode this month, then you can try ’em at the Tai Seng or United Square outlets on weekends.
