Twelve Singapore bars made it to this year’s Asia’s 50 Best Bars list, including cocktail den Jigger & Pony.

The watering hole at the Amara Hotel was ranked second on the continent this time around on the annual ranking out last night, losing out the top spot to Coa in Hong Kong. Top local bars Atlas and Native slid several ranks while No Sleep Club, Barbary Coast, and Sago House debuted on the list.

“Its fun-time ethos is complemented by an excellent classic drinks list, as the bar goes about its business in a refreshingly old-school way in terms of drink curation,” read the site’s take on the bar.

Jigger & Pony was followed by Japan’s The SG Club, which came in third place. Manhattan at Regent hotel rose to No. 6 from No. 8 last year, while gin bar Atlas dropped to No. 7 from No. 5 and Native bar fell to No. 14 from No. 6 previously.

The remaining Singapore bars that made it to the list were 28 HongKong Street (No. 21), Tippling Club (No. 36), D.Bespoke (No. 39), The Old Man (No. 42), MO Bar (No. 45), and new additions No Sleep Club (No. 8), Barbary Coast (No. 29), and Sago House (No. 49).

MO Bar also took home the Michter’s Art of Hospitality Award while No Sleep Club, an all-day bar and restaurant on Keong Saik Road, won the Disaronno Highest New Entry Award.

Others to make the list include Bangkok’s The Bamboo Bar (No. 11) and Tropic City (No. 22), Malaysia’s Bar Trigona (No. 12), Hong Kong’s Quinary (No. 25), Jakarta’s Union Brasserie, Bakery & Bar (No. 33) and Manila’s The Curator (No. 38).
