Anthony Bourdain wants to open Singapore-style food court in New York

American celeb chef Anthony Bourdain is looking to set up an open-air food market similar to Singapore’s hawker centre in lower Manhattan, New York.

Inspired by his travels, Bourdain feels what the “greatest city in the world” lacks is the kind of “delicious, diverse food centres” available in Hong Kong, Ensenada, Singapore and Spain.

According to an Esquire report, Bourdain said that if nothing else, he hopes to be able to enjoy a really good chicken rice in NYC.
