Chef and owner of the now defunct Wok and Barrel Shen Tan, is making her comeback on March 15 with new restaurant Ujong.
Ujong, which promises the East-meets-West playfulness Tan is known for, will take over the space formerly occupied by Empire Cafe at Raffles Hotel.
Tan plans to revive Wok and Barrel signatures such as the beef rendang pizza and pulut hitam pudding with coconut ice-cream and gula melaka butterscotch (top photo), but you can also expect new arrivals like banana crack parfait, kueh baulu tiramisu, curry soda bread, crispy French toast and kaya sticky buns.
