Yes, yes, we’re all sad Tong Seng is leaving. But as with all the other Singapore hawker favourites that have had too move out to make way for “new stuff”, there’s no use harping on it. All we can all do now is to make it there for one last cup of kopi-C and a reasonably-priced plate of chicken rice, and hope to God we won’t see more “hipster cafes” popping out of the space like a bout of Athlete’s Foot.
