It’s a topic that’s been explored before by Cracked, but the literally dirty industry of hawking booty-slings wasn’t known to exist here — until The New Paper tried to buy one recently. According to their report, the Singaporean market for post-sex panties is a healthy one, with folks willing to pay good money for soiled undergarments. Prices even vary depending on how long they’re worn and the sexual activities performed in them.
Do a simple search online and you can even find blogs set up by ladies peddling their worn underwear. Complete with saucy pictures of them wearing the garments, of course. One blog even set up various price-packages, with the cheapest being a self-pickup of panties and the more premium ones involving spot checks, masturbation and er… Cum lollipops?
Even online marketplaces like Locanto aren’t exempt from being used by panty-slingers.
The one that The New Paper attempted to purchase was priced at $80 — it was a pair of panties worn for 12 hours and soiled from sex. For an additional sum of $70, the girl will even do a meet-up at Bugis! The transaction wasn’t finalised, they claimed.
Motivations for why people choose to make a structured business out of their used underwear vary. In an article written on sex-positive editorial website Simple Sxy, one local seller who goes by the name of MissEasilyWet attributes her venture to the “ailing economy post-Lehman brothers” and the difficulty of being in debt while jobless after graduation.
Her customers even come from all walks of life, apparently — she claims to have a Republic of Singapore Air Force regular and a doctor as past clients.
As for the legality of it all, trading soiled knickers is a grey area, according to lawyers speaking to The New Paper. Technically, it’s considered selling used clothing. Attached with an obscene photo or video, however, and it becomes a crime.
But hey, you do what you want to do — it’s your money, it’s your fetish, and it’s all done with permission. Besides, a girl’s gotta pay her bills somehow, no?
