Robot waiters are all the rage right now especially in China and Japan, but this may be the first time flying drones are being employed as waiters. Timbre will be the first to jump on the bandwagon in Singapore, with its five outlets expected to be equipped by end of 2015.
 

Lion City Kitty: The Cat Museum, Muses & Mansion


Singapore’s love for cats and cat cafes will come to an apex when the country’s first museum dedicated to all things feline officially opens its doors to the public on Jan 9, offering three whole floors of art, photography, exhibitions and of course, free-roaming cats as well. 

Future Music Festival Asia


Despite last year’s disturbing turn of events, FMFA is determined to hit its high party standards, but this time in Singapore. So far, the likes of Avicii, The Prodigy and Fatboy Slim have been announced. 

M1 Fringe Festival


Some exciting local shows are in the lineup this year, like Loo Zihan’s In/Out and the Noor Effendy Ibrahim-led The Malay Man and His Chinese Father. Stay tuned to Coconuts for previews.

Singapore Jazz Festival


This year’s SingJazz lineup is more eclectic than ever, with confirmed (and award-winning) acts like Bobby McFerrin, Jessie J and Snarky Puppy.
