On the downside, if you were planning to travel anywhere today, you might be a tad screwed. Ferry service have been cancelled and flights are delayed, with knock on effects expecting to last into the day.
At the last update, Typhoon Kalmeagi was hanging out around 400 kilometres southwest of Hong Kong, edging closer to the Leizhou Pennusual at around 30 kilometres an hour.
