The 28th series of the reality show Survivor premiered in the US yesterday. Entitled Survivor: Cagayan Brawn vs. Brains vs. Beauty, it was shot entirely in Cagayan’s Palaui Island from March to August last year.

This is great exposure for us, of course, especially because the show will be shown in at least 156 countries.
In 2013, Palaui Island was included in CNN Travel’s 10 Best Beaches in the World list. Impressively, it is the only beach from the Philippines and the Southeast Asia to make it to the list.

Philstar.com reports that at least PHP300 million was spent for its entire production, 60% of it going to accommodations, and the rest for talent fees and salaries.
