YouTube has already taken over cyberspace, now the popular video streaming platform has found a way to make a mark in the physical world through little nooks called the YouTube Lounge.
The actual chill-out spots, strategically located inside malls, are perfect for watching YouTube videos with less buffering times.
The first branch was launched at Greenbelt Mall in Makati on Sep 29, and the second one was launched at UP Town Center in Katipunan on Oct 6.
The lounges are equipped with the Accelerator technology, which speeds up download from certain sites, BusinessWorld reports.
Users just have to connect to the mall’s Wi-Fi, and that’s it! The best part? It’s free!
More than just lounges however, they are also places where YouTube users can meet and interact with local content creators like Janina Vela, Wil Dasovich, Team Kramer, Mikey Bustos, and Erwan Heussaff.
The next branches will open in other Ayala Malls like TriNoma, Glorietta, Market! Market! and Alabang Town Center.
