We received an email from a sender named Global Filipinos for a noise barrage on Saturday (Sept 21) and thought we’d share it with you:
Dear Friends and Anti-corruption Advocates,
In solidarity with our people who are abominably sick and tired of pervasive corruption, plunder, and scheming government officials, we are requesting you to join us to show our indignation:
What: PEOPLE’S NOISE BARRAGE II
When: Saturday, September 21, 2013
Time: As soon as you wake up, starting at 6:00 .a.m. (on your way to the people’s rally at the Luneta Park, and other local assemblies everywhere) . (Noise barrage to be repeated after the Luneta Rally, at 6:00 p.m.) (And planned to be repeated every last Saturday of each month at 6:00 p.m. until the government takes definitive action)
Where: Anywhere
How: By banging and clanging pots, pans, cans,drums, gongs, honking horns, ringing of church bells, etc.
Purpose: To tell the government:
1. Abolish ALL Pork
2. Account for ALL Pork
3. Prosecute and jail ALL Pork abusers
4. Pass the FOI Law and to remind the people of the sorrow of this day, September 21, the day when our freedom once died, and therefore:
NEVER AGAIN TO MARTIAL LAW!
Just like the historic first Noise Barrage of 1978 that made a ruthless dictator crawled in fear, we aim to do the same to the plunderers and thieves in our government: We want to see them crawl in fear! We want our scream to be heard around the world and let them know that we cannot and we will not tolerate anymore thieves and plunderers in our government!
