Forget apples. Here’s a better way to help 30 new public school teachers through their first year on the job.
First Day High, a project of Teachables Inc., is collecting donations to give 30 public school teachers First Day High Super Starter Kits and a one-day prep session to teach them classroom management.
The Super Starter Kit comes with “tools that help cut down on the repetitive and tiresome preparations of visual aids, tools applicable for multi-subject teaching, tools that help them strategize better,” Teachables Inc. said on the project’s Spark Project page.
The prep class will, meanwhile, give the new teachers a day with education experts “that will touch their hearts and build their classroom management skills.”
What do you get in return? The knowledge that you have helped touched the lives of at least 60 public school students. Also, “deserving teachers, given their tools and what they learned from the session, will be asked to share with you 1 thing that they will do differently to make this school year their best ever.”
Full Teacher sponsorship is P2,000 to cover the kit and the one-day prep session but donor contributions start at P500.
“The timing is critical. School year starts this June 3. Help us make the First Day High Project happen,” Teachables Inc said.
