You know that report of snow in the Southern Philippines is fake, right?

This video, supposedly of a Rodsburgh News Live news report of snow in the “Southern Philippines”, has been spreading on social media since this morning.

The report, supposedly submitted by a Rod Gazmin, shows a courtyard after “three straight hours of heavy snowfall”, and is obviously fake.

In the first place, Gazmin would likely have died after three hours of snow in a country where many houses have trouble surviving heavy rainfall.

Also, it would have been all over Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram within the first five minutes if it were true.  This is the Philippines, where celebrities wish they could Instagram an earthquake, after all.

While we’re on that, it isn’t true that a Kaiju took a crap on Manila, either. The city already looked like that when it got here.

It’s just a movie
