An eight-year-old boy attacked a 64-year-old woman after she tried stopping the child from throwing garbage in front of her house in Caloocan City, reports Cherk Almadin in Abante.
Police identified the victim as Crisanta Baningosa, whose lips were severely injured from the blows of the boy.
The boy was armed with brass knuckles.
Investigators said Baningosa was cleaning the area in front of her house at Barangay 16 when he saw the boy dropping a bag full of garbage where she was sweeping. She went up to the boy and asked to get his trash off her property.
The boy tried to run away but she grabbed his arms to stop him. The boy then threw a punch at her several times until she fell. It turned out he wore brass knuckles, which police say he uses to protect himself from bullies.
Neighbors cornered the boy who ran away after punching the woman. He was brought to the police and to the local social welfare office for processing.
