T-shirts, wheelchairs and candies with the words “Binay”on the wrapper are just some of the items Vice-President Jejomar Binay distributed to senior citizens at Panabo, Davao del Norte on Wed, May 20.
Binay gave away four wheelchairs and some medical equipment to a group of senior citizens in Panabo.
He reminded the group that senior citizens in Makati can get medical treatment for free while those who reach 100 years of age can get PHP100,000.
The vice-president also visited Panabo Public Market where he had a boodle fight, posed with vendors and gave away “Binay” candies.
He also gave away land titles to landowners in Barangay San Vicente under the community mortgage program.
Binay said Panabo is close to his heart since it is a sister city of Makati.
He also denied that his visit is a form of premature campaigning.
“Ah hindi. Kapag umiikot ka diba magbibigay ka ng mga souvenirs. Kasama lang ‘yon. Ngayong araw na ‘to, napadaan ako. Namigay ako ng souvenirs,” he said.
Last Saturday, the vice-president also visited Carmen Public Market in Cagayan de Oro City where he gave out fans, bracelets, t-shirts and candies.
