What a brutal attack on such defenseless people.
“Rogelyn Cabildo, 21, a saleslady at 168 Mall in Divisoria, was killed while her two fellow passengers in a tricycle—Jonathan de los Santos, 26, and his 1-year-old son Justin—were wounded when an unidentified gunman fired at the vehicle at around 4pm on Tuesday, July 29, at the Baseco compound, Port Area, Manila,” reports Annelle Tayao-Juego in Philippine Daily Inquirer.
According to the report, Cabildo and the De los Santoses were in a tricycle driven by Amelil Mokasibin when a man with a pistol approached and started shooting. The man then fled on foot after firing several rounds.
Cabildo, who was hit in the lower back, was rushed to the Gat Andres Bonifacio Hospital but she died there sometime around 6pm. De Los Santos and his son were treated for their wounds.
The police say the they are still trying to figure out the shooter’s motive for the attack.
