“Juvy Navarro, 21, was in an eatery, sitting on a wooden bench, and smoking what turned out to be her last cigarette when her killers struck at around noon on Tuesday, Nov 12, in Smokey Mountain in Tondo, Manila,” reports Aie Balalagtas See in The Philippine Star.
Suddenly, two men on a motorcycle stopped in front of Navarro. The man in the back pulled out a gun and shot her 11 times. Navarro was rushed to the Tondo Medical Center, where she died after an hour of her arrival.
Roderick Toremiliano, 37, who had been sitting near Navarro, was also was hit in the back. He is undergoing treatment for his gunshot wound.
According tp Police Officer 2 Michael Maraggun, Navarro was allegedly a drug pusher. Her death may have been related to her supposed “profession.”
