It wasn’t death that made them separate, but it did bring them together in a gruesome way.
“On Monday, April 14, China Esplana, 45, who had long been separated from her husband, attended his wake in Tondo to pay her last respects,” reports Aie Balagtas See in The Philippine Star.
Police reveal that “a still-unidentified assailant on a motorcycle shot Esplana repeatedly at around 9:30pm.” She was rushed to the Tondo Medical Center, but she died after an hour there.
The investigation is still ongoing.
