Not a day seems to pass when there’s no violent incident in Metro Manila.
“On Tuesday night, Nov 26, businesswoman Cherilyn Chua, 27, was shot dead while on a motorcycle with her partner Mark Mamaril and their four-year-old son in Tondo, Manila,” reports Aie Balagtas-See in The Philippine Star.
Chua, Mamaril, and their son were at Moriones Street at around 1030 pm when a motorcycle with two men pulled up behind them. The suspects opened fire on the trio. Chua died on the spot. Mamaril was wounded. Fortunately, their son was not physically hurt in the attack.
Mamaril was rushed to Mary Johnston Hospital for treatment. The gunmen got away. Police are now still investigating the motive for Chua’s murder.
