It’s a horrible story with many curious details.
“Police discovered that Gemma Dela Cruz, 29, was reportedly killed by her husband and his brother in San Juan City,” reports Rizal Obanil in Manila Bulletin.
Police identified the primary suspect as the victim’s husband, Billy Dela Cruz. He is now the subject of a manhunt. His alleged accomplice, his brother Billy Dela Cruz Jr., is already under police custody.
The suspect’s brother (Billy 2) admitted that he helped his brother (Billy 1) dump Gemma’s body somewhere in Barangay Sabang in Magdalena, Laguna.
The San Juan Police Station learned about the murder through a phone call from a certain Ronaldo Gonzales, who claimed he had been told by a witness that the Dela Cruz brothers were seen dumping the body. The brothers’ vehicle, along with its license plate number, was identified by the witness.
With this information, the police tracked down the van, which led them to Billy 2.
The report said that “it still remains unclear how Gemma died, but her remains are now being autopsied at the Crime Laboratory in Camp Crame.”
