“At around 4pm on Sunday, June 15, Candelaria Carpo, a 64-year-old vendor, was gunned down by two men onboard a motorcycle while playing bingo in front of Building 16 on Pilot Drive, Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City,” reports Francis T. Wakefield in Tempo.
The report said that Carpo had been playing bingo along with other residents of the building when two unidentified men on a motorcycle without a license plate appeared.
Police said Carpo was shot three times, once in the face and twice in the neck. The rescue team of Barangay Commonwealth took Carpo to the East Avenue Medical Center (EAMC) on East Avenue, but he was declared dead on arrival.
