This isn’t the best place to give birth, but hey, with the traffic in the Philippines, it may just start becoming a norm.

A pregnant woman gave birth to a baby girl inside a police vehicle in Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu on Monday.

Sunstar Superbalita Cebu identified the woman as 32-year-old Jackilyn Branzuela.

ABS-CBN News added that Branzuela and her brother went to the Mandaue City Police Station 3 to ask for help in getting to Ouano Hospital in Lapu-Lapu City.

According to the Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO) Police Station 3’s Facebook post shared on Monday, PO1 Elmer Gonzalez, mobile crew Elmor Cortez Ceniza, and non-uniformed personnel Josie Tejano, a registered nurse, were aboard the Isuzu D-Max patrol car with Branzuela.

ABS-CBN News reported that they used the police car’s siren, but it still wasn’t enough to get through traffic. After 30 minutes, they were able to get to the hospital, however, Branzuela couldn’t take it anymore.

“The mother started complaining that the baby is about to go out, the head was already showing, and asked that she would like to push it,” the MCPO Police Station 3 said in the Facebook post.

With Tejano’s help, the baby was safely delivered inside the patrol car. The baby was then turned over to the hospital for further monitoring and care.

The Facebook post became viral, garnering over 4,000 likes and 1,800 shares as of this article’s posting. Netizens thanked those who helped Branzuela out.

“That’s a blessing to the patrol car. Kudos to the police who responded. [I] salute you,” wrote Facebook user LOrenzo CAjes BOlofer.

Win Beyondx wrote: “Salute to the responders. Keep it up.”

“God bless the baby and mom. Happy birthday to the little angel,” said Rodolfo Coronel.

Rhò Dang joked that the mother should name the baby “PATricia CARla,” short for patrol car. *wink*

“The baby’s name should be Isuzu Patrolle,” joked Jean Araneta.

Sorry you guys, but in a separate Facebook post, MCPO Police Station 3 shared that the baby was named Kim Irish Niña Branzuela.

Better luck next time with those name suggestions!
