A woman who was getting ready in a beauty parlor for her romantic Valentine’s Day date with her husband tragically died yesterday after an SUV crashed into the salon in General Santos City.
The victim was identified as 30-year-old Fiesta Mae Cedeño, ABS-CBN News reported.
According to the Traffic Management Unit of General Santos City, 18-year-old Alaica Grajan lost control of the SUV when she reached Dacera Ave., where the parlor is located, Radyo Inquirer reported.
The white SUV veered to the opposite lane where it hit a pickup truck near the salon. It continued to crash into the salon and eventually hit Cedeño.
Some witnesses helped the victim and rushed her to the hospital, however, she passed away at 5pm.
Grajan was also hospitalized after experiencing trauma from the crash.
The victim’s family, as well as the driver’s, met for a possible settlement.
