A 22-year-old woman celebrated her last birthday yesterday after she died in a motorcycle accident earlier today in Bacolod City.

ABS-CBN News identified the woman as Lindsay Labiga. According to the report, the motorcycle she was on board as a passenger crashed into a jeep and a tricycle a little after midnight.

The motorcycle driver was identified as Lindsay’s live-in partner Aran Aungon, who survived the accident.

However, one of Aungon’s feet was severed in the incident, the report added. He was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

A CCTV in the area showed that Aungon was driving fast and didn’t slow down at an intersection which resulted in the crash, the report added.

The motorcycle first hit the front part of the jeep and then the tricycle, the report stated. According to the jeep’s driver Edgardo Robles, Aungon and Labiga were having an argument while aboard the motorcycle.

Lilibeth Labiga, Lindsay’s mother, told ABS-CBN News that the couple used to fight often. She claimed that she actually dreamt of the accident but didn’t expect it to come true in real life.

The Labiga family will not file charges against Aungon.
