The webz is full of bad people.

A Sri Lankan man allegedly leaked intimate photos of his Filipina ex-girlfriend after their two-month relationship ended in a bitter split.

The victim said she met the 43-year-old suspect on social media, where they talked on a regular basis for more than a month. They also exchanged private photos during their daily conversations, GMA News reports.

As their relationship progressed, the suspect became more and more possessive. He did not allow the victim to visit her own siblings, pushing her to end the relationship.

As an act of revenge, the suspect released the victim’s private photos online. He made sure it reached the victim’s family.

“I am angry at myself because I trusted him… I loathe him. I want revenge, but how can I get it?” said the victim.

With the help of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, the victim is now studying her options.

PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group spokesperson Supt. Jay Guillermo said that the PNP can coordinate with the International Police once the case pushes through.

He also reminded the public to be careful with who they trust on social media.

In 2016, there were around 150 reported cases of cybercrime in the Philippines.
