Some families have bigger problems than most.
“Shirley Mito filed a complaint before the Quezon City Police District in Camp Karingal against her son-in-law, Fortunato de Guzman, 26, for allegedly killing her daughter Delaila, 23, last May 11,” reports Iza Iglesias on Philstar.com.
Mito claimed she based her complaint on the statements of the couple’s two-year-old son, who witnessed the crime.
Mito said her grandson was afraid to attend her mother’s wake and when she asked him why, the toddler said, “Mommy away Daddy.” Mito said that the boy acted out how his father strangled his mother to death.
Delaila’s body was found inside the house she shared with her husband and son at Interior II, Kilusan Street in Barangay Old Balara, Quezon City.
The initial story was she allegedly hanged herself to death.
The investigation is ongoing.
