In what seems to be an extreme case of fragile masculinity, a woman was allegedly stabbed by her husband on Sunday night in Taguig City but managed to survive.
The reason? She allegedly refused to have sex with him.
The woman’s friend said this was the second time the woman refused to have sex with her husband.
According to a report by ABS-CBN News, a man who was not identified in the report and owns the house where the couple lives, woke up when he heard the two fighting.
The man said that when he opened the door, he saw the wife had already suffered stab wounds on her body. The man tried to stop the husband from hurting the woman and was also cut in the hands and arms in the process.
According to the man, the husband ran into the bathroom and locked himself inside. The man later opened the door and found the husband lifeless after stabbing himself in the stomach.
The woman got away with the help of her friend and is currently in the hospital in stable condition.
