This doesn’t make her look good at all.
“Detained businesswoman Janet Lim-Napoles, the alleged mastermind of the PHP10-billion pork barrel scam, handed out generous donations to priests and nuns using allocations from the congressional Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF),” reports Nancy C. Carvajal in the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
The information from the digital records of whistleblower shows that Napoles was, in particular, very generous to Monsignor Josefino Ramirez.
Ramirez reportedly got the following:
PHP2.5 million – amount in Metrobank check
PHP434,451 – tickets for travel to Europe
PHP800,000 – various donations
PHP310,550 – birthday party expenses
The report noted: “The Inquirer sought comment from Ramirez but the secretary of Ramirez reported that he had kidney problems and was undergoing dialysis treatment.”
