It’s been 29 years since one of the country’s defining moments.
“The Philippine National Police (PNP) outlined the activities that will be taking place as the country commemorates the 29th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution on February 25,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
10am — The PNP and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) will hold the traditional unity march to the People Power Monument. The march will start from the respective headquarters of the two groups.
11am — Wreath-laying ceremony at the EDSA Shrine with President Noynoy Aquino as guest of honor.
12:15pm — There will be a Holy Mass at the EDSA Shrine.
The report noted: “The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) is on alert for the celebration. The NCRPO is also tasked to ensure the smooth flow of traffic in coordination with Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA).”
