After being on the run for close to three years, retired Maj. Gen. Jovito Palparan was finally caught in the home of his friend, Grace Roa in Sta. Mesa, Manila.

Palparan had grown his hair and was visibly thinner, which is saying a lot because he was already skinny to begin with.
Palparan is being held responsible for the disappearance of University of the Philippines (UP) students Karen Empeño and Sherlyn Cadapan, who were last seen in 2006.
“According to Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP) chief Maj. Gen. Eduardo Año, Palparan was joking with their operatives,” reports Alexis Romero on Philstar.com.
Palparan was quoted as saying, “Ang gagaling nyo, naisahan nyo ako kasi medyo naging very lax ako (You were good. You put one over me because I had gotten very lax).”
The report noted that Palparan said he has been suffering from heart problems, diabetes, and high blood pressure.
