What happens on PNoy’s last day at the Palace?

He has three days left in office.

“My promise to myself when I took office was to to utilize every single second in further improving the lives of the Filipino people, I think I’ve been true to that.”

This was what President Noynoy Aquino said when he was asked what vow he managed to keep in the six years that he served in the country’s top spot. Aquino is set to step down from his post at noon on Thu, Jun 30.

“Aquino plans to work until his last hour as President. Before noon on Jun 30, he will welcome President-elect Rodrigo Duterte at Malacañan and witness him sign the guestbook.

“Aquino will have his final military honors as President at the Palace lawn before he departs from Malacañan Palace for the last time as President in a leased Toyota Land Cruiser, the same one he uses as President,” reports Joanne Rae Ramirez in The Philippine Star.

The report noted: “Like his late mother, former president Corazon Aquino, he will proceed to the family home on No. 5 Times Street, which has been rebuilt.”
