Western Union robbed twice on Sunday

This can’t be good for Western Union.

“Three men robbed a money transfer shop in Quezon City Sunday afternoon, taking more than PHP300,000 in cash and valuables,” reports
Reinir Padua on Philstar.com.

The attack happened just hours after three robbers stole an empty cash box at a Western Union branch in Parañaque City on Sunday morning, police said. In January, Coconuts Manila reported a similar Western Union robbery.

The suspects posed as customers of Western Union Branch in Barangay Masambong around 2pm before declaring a robbery, according to investigators. The shop lost P295,226.15 in cash, the branch’s security camera system, and the money and mobile phones of the employees.

Some people hear jingle bells, others hear about crime stories. And that’s when we know it’s almost Christmas.
