A photograph of a miniature footbridge located at the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Children’s Road Safety Park in in Malate, Manila is being used to incite outrage among quick-to-the-draw netizens.
GMA News Online reports that the photo was being shared on Facebook with a caption indicating that it was yet another “dumb project” of the government.
However, Atty. Yves Gonzalez, who used to work for the MMDA, recognized the photograph. In fact, he is the real owner of the said photo.

Gonzalez called out the user who had posted the photo with the misleading caption, saying, “Making it seem like it’s a ‘weird’ project or something that makes us look ‘dumb’ without knowing the full context and story behind the photo is quite misleading. We are all entitled to our own opinions, but not our own facts.”
The mini-footbridge and the other little structures in the park, he explained, “are aimed at teaching young kids the value of following road rules.”
