Maybe it’s just mercury in retrograde or something.
“On Friday, May 23, Communications Secretary Sonny Coloma was asked if the administration is behind moves to unseat Estrada as local chief executive,” reports ABS-CBN News correspondent RG Cruz on ABS-CBNnews.com.
Coloma had answered, “No, we are not.”
The report noted that the Supreme Court recently “gave due course to a disqualification case filed against Estrada.”
The report noted: “Former Manila mayor Alfredo Lim, whom Estrada defeated in the 2013 local elections, earlier requested and was allowed by the high court to ‘intervene’ or take part in the disqualification case. Lim is a partymate of President Benigno Aquino in the Liberal party.”
Estrada’s clan has been embattled lately. His nephew, Laguna Governor ER Ejercito is getting unseated for election for overspending, while his son, Jinggoy, is being dragged into the pork barrel scam.
