Weekend rain causes flash floods in QC

Heavy rains last Saturday caused flooding in some parts of Quezon City. Portions of Commonwealth Avenue were rendered impassable to light vehicles. The Flood Control Information Center (FCIC) of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) reported that 40 millimeters of rain per hour caused the flooding which lasted for 30 minutes.

The affected areas was the westbound lane of Commonwealth Avenue from the Wilcon Depot to Don Fabian Village, the Philippine Star reported.
