“In a press conference at Camp Crame on Thursday, Jan 16, Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Mar Roxas acknowledged that brazen crimes perpetrated by men on *motorbikes in Metro Manila have become alarming,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
Roxas went on to admit that “there is a need to intensify the intelligence efforts of the Philippine National Police to put a stop to the rising number of crimes by motorcycle users.” In fact, the police are strengthening their motorcycle-riding units.

However, he explained that “riding in tandem” can’t be regulated. Besides, he pointed out, “not all people using motorcycles can be considered as crime suspects.”
