Watch out: Delayed flights at NAIA

Don’t say you weren’t warned. For two hours today and tomorrow, the Ninoy Aquino International Airport will be closed as US President Barack Obama lands in Manila for his two-day state visit. The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) “said that NAIA will be closed from 1230pm – 230pm for two days,” reports Camille Diola on Philstar.com.

The CAAP makes an early warning, too, of possible delays as they will have special operations for the VVIP’s arrival.

Apart from NAIA, airports in Sangley, Cavite; Lipa, Batangas; and San Idelfonso, Bulacan have been designated “no fly zones”

Manila is the fourth and final stop of Obama, following visits to Japan, South Korea, and Malaysia. He will arrive at noon aboard the Air Force One.
