WATCH: Get your dose of ‘Vitamin Sea’ in Kalanggaman Island

To help you get through these sizzling days, we’re sharing Nello Rebojo’s video of Kalanggaman Island, a slice of paradise in Leyte.

With it’s beautiful sandbars and crystalline waters, this untouched tourist spot might soon join the privilleged circle of the best beaches in the world. We heard that the entire island turns pink when red coral skeletons gets mixed with the sand.

There are no fancy hotels or restaurants on the island, which makes it appealing for beach lovers looking for some quality time with nature. However, they do have facilities for leisure activities like kayaking, stand up paddling, scuba diving and snorkeling.

Kalanggaman Island was hit by Typhoon Yolanda in 2013, but the island has slowly but surely bounced back from the calamity.

Planning to go? From Manila, fly to Tacloban City, then take a van to Palompon Leyte. Coordinate with the Palompon Ecotours Office to get to the island.
