Pinoys love nothing more than a good round of karaoke. So it comes as no surprise that YouTube is chock-full of content creators singing their hearts out in hopes of getting noticed by the general populace. One example is this duo that has gone viral after a video of their karaoke session singing a Disney classic reemerged online earlier this month.
In the video, Reggie Tortugo, a veteran of many singing contests, and his friend Biran Gilles can be seen singing the theme to the Disney movie Beauty and the Beast.
Tortugo sang the parts originally sung by American singer Peabo Bryson while Gilles took on lines sung by Celine Dion.

As of this article’s posting, the video, which was posted by Press World earlier this month, has reached close to 14,000 views on YouTube. But this is not the first time the video gained traction.
It turns out that an older version of the video was also posted by user named Wilfredo Dizon last month and garnered more than 141,000 views.
Even for all the attention they’re getting, it doesn’t seem like there was much effort on the singing duo’s part. Clad in comfy shorts and tees, the two belted out while casually sitting on a wooden bench.
Other videos of the duo have also been uploaded online and like in their rendition of Beauty and the Beast, Gilles usually sings with a woman-like voice — and boy is he good.
This video posted last month shows the two covering the song The Prayer, with Gilles, again, doing Dion justice.
It’s so good, we’re kind of hoping Dion watches these videos just to see what she thinks.
You never know, they too might get a thumbs up from an international singing sensation just like this Filipino duo who was recently praised by Mariah Carey for their rendition of her hit Hero.
