Judge Maria Filomena Singh of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 85 has issued a warrant for the arrest of Major Christopher Lee Patindol, accused of stealing P1.4 million.
According to the Philippine Star, Patindol was a former special disbursing officer who has gone AWOL since Aug. 1, 2011. He is facing three counts of Malversation of Public Funds for allegedly faking the signature of his superior officer in order to encash three checks on July 4, 5, and 8, 2011.
Reports say there is another case against Patindol, this time for misappropriating more than P900,000 in AFP funds.
